Vegan Chocolate & Coconut Tartlets

I’ve made quite a number of tarts and cheesecakes on my website and my favorite has always been this vegan chocolate & coconut tartlets. The combination of chocolate and coconut is mind blowing and melts smoothly in your mouth. A tartlet is a mini tart and uses the mini tart tins. I get my baking tins from Vitu Zote store as they’re always non stick and good quality.

The secret to any no-bake tart is to have an edible base that most importantly requires no baking and an easy filling that takes a few minutes to come together in a saucepan with a thickener. These vegan chocolate and coconut tartlets are made up of an oat and coconut flakes base sweetened with dates. The filling is a coconut cream sweetened with maple syrup and thickened with corn starch and agar agar powder. In addition, these tartlets require to chill in the fridge preferably overnight for best results.

Add corn starch and stir together. 5) Pour this filling into your tart tins and wait to cool before refrigerating overnight. 6) Before it sets completely, drizzle the chocolate and swirl. 7) Garnish with edible flowers and berries.
